Creative Tools

  • Record vocals, acoustic instruments and line-level equipment through the two microphone/line inputs, with +48 V phantom power available for condenser microphones.
  • Use compatible Unison preamp plug-ins to change the input impedance and gain behaviour of the preamps, bringing the response and character of modelled analogue equipment into the recording process.
  • Connect a guitar or bass to the front-panel Hi-Z input and develop a recording tone with compatible amplifier and pedal plug-ins.
  • Monitor through UAD compression, equalisation and effects using the two onboard DSP cores. Processing capacity depends on the plug-ins and sample rate selected.
  • Use Auto-Gain in UAD Console to help establish recording levels, then manage monitoring, routing and plug-in settings from the same application.
  • Expand the recording setup through the optical input by connecting a compatible ADAT preamp or S/PDIF source, allowing additional sources to be recorded when needed.
  • Compare mixes through alternate speakers and communicate with performers using the integrated talkback microphone.
  • Use Apollo Monitor Correction with the required Sonarworks SoundID Reference software and compatible calibration equipment to refine monitor or headphone playback.
  • Shape recordings with the Analog Classics bundle, from tube preamp colour and dynamic control to tape character, echo and plate reverb.
